Rob’s passion for photography, stemmed from wanting to capture all the moments that he shared with friends, as they grew up skateboarding. Oddly enough, the action and angles that’s required to shoot skateboarding, is one of the more difficult subjects to capture. Never one to avoid a challenge, Rob jumped right into it and almost unwittingly fell right into a talent for photography that he hadn’t planned for. And with that, his attention to detail sort of took over and he began to apply skill to the inherent talent that he had.
I’ve been fortunate enough to watch Rob tackle countless projects and he approaches each of them with enthusiasm and professionalism. He has that rare mix of being able to find the right light, the right angle, and the right moment. It’s some sort of strange cocktail of natural born ability, obsessive detail and the innate curiosity that puts him head and shoulders above the rest. And to top it all off, his infectious personality and sense of humor, has the ability to bring the best out of everyone.
